Good Morning Folks 🙏🏽 🌄 it is a fine, beautiful Wednesday hump day here in Central Valley California 😀 I just got back from a walk, another decent length one. This one, I got in just shy of 5 miles. Probably could have pushed myself to go further, but I was starting to feel pain in my left knee and ankles. I think if I am going to keep these walks up, I’m going to need some ankle wraps and a knee support to help with the pain.
The fact that I am keeping up with these walks, even though I put myself in more pain than if I didn’t, shows the perseverance that I have to get through other obstacles in life.
Enjoy this little piece of 5-minute poetry that I just wrote for this post:
Life has its up and down moments,
If we did not suffer through pain,
Maybe we could have Peace in this world.
A Phoenix rises after it falls,
So can you rise if you fall.
Take one day at a time,
For each day is a gift that God gives us.
Good days come and go,
Bad days are only a blimp in time,
Each stride you take through the day,
Make it count towards the goals you have set today.
I hope each of you has a blessed Wednesday 🙌 no matter the struggles you may be going through to survive.
God Bless 🙌
And as I always say: Peace ✌🏽 Love ❤️ and Rock&Roll 🤘🏼

Hello All, and welcome to 2024. A new year, new me attitude, am I right?? That’s what we all hope and strive for in these first few days or weeks of the new year.
Though 2023 is now over, we can all look back to the year we had and ponder, “Did I do this right? Did I accomplish anything in life? Did I make the right changes to my attitude? Or did I go through 2023 struggling to survive day in and day out?
For me, as I ponder these questions and more, I feel as if the past year was a letdown, but it also came with some good times.
I got to watch my soon to be 2 year old son learn to walk and is now starting to talk more.
I saw my oldest turn 6 and start at a new school due to us moving during the year.
I started working on 2 new writing projects. One of which is a dystopian I hope to publish in 2024, and the other is a fantasy novel I hope to start writing later this year after I’ve finished my A.A. degree in English.
There were so many things that felt nice, but I didn’t finish anything that I truly wanted to finish before the end of the year.
Me and my family were homeless for about a month right around my son’s 1st birthday. I allowed procrastination to overtake my life in areas it didn’t need to be. I allowed my depression to get the better of me and allowed my fears and my anxiety to turn on me. And I lost my job that I had been at for almost 3 years for something that I still don’t know how it was my fault.
But let’s not dwell anymore on the negative things that happened. Let’s look forward to the future and the hopes and dreams of 2024. The aspirations that I have this year will be a test for me every single one.
Firstly, I want to finish and publish “Resistance Rising,” my debut novel, on my birthday on May 21st. I also want to write more poetry and short stories that I can share with you guys here.
Secondly, I want to finally finish my Associates degree in English so that I can finally start the coursework towards my bachelors degree and ultimately become a teacher.
Thirdly, I want to start working out more, getting myself into shape and regaining the muscle I used to have when I was younger and before I had kids and got hurt in a car accident 8 years ago. I want to get myself from 235lbs down to 200lbs at least but I also want to turn it to muscle and not just lose the fat (mostly around my core) that I’ve gained over the years.
Fourthly, as I mentioned above, I want to start writing my second novel, “Seeds of Destiny” (title and work is in early draft stages) and be close to or near finished writing it to be ready for publication in 2025. Being that it is a fantasy and I will need to do a ton of world building along the way, it might just take into late 2025 before it’s finished (who knows).
Lastly, but certainly not the least, I want to find a job, possibly even a career starter, so that I can help my wife be able to take care of our bills, provide for our family and be able to live comfortably without having to rely on Food Stamps to eat. My wife has done so much for this small 4-person family since April, and if not for her working all of these hours, who knows where me and my family would be right now.
Those are some of the goals I have this year. The big ones. The ones that if this time in 2025 I haven’t accomplished them all, then I’ll know that I haven’t bettered myself this year like I am striving for.
So with that, I bid you all to have a blessed 2024, stay safe, love those around you, and as I always love to end my posts with Peace ✌🏽 Love ❤️ and Rock&Roll 🤘🏼

Good morning, afternoon or evening wherever you may be. Below is a poem I wrote in about five minutes while I was putting away laundry this morning, the 2nd of October, in the year 2023, for my wife, the love of my life. She means the world 🌎 to me, and I am in awe of the hard work that she continues to put out despite how difficult it is to be away from me and the children for days at a time. I hope you all enjoy this small little piece of poetry that is dedicated to her.
My beautiful wife, Tiffany, while we were out having breakfast together on one of the rare days we get to enjoy together. Fire in your eyes, a heartbeat I can see
For centuries, I have searched
Longing for the breath of life you give
Tragedy struck me before I could find you
Damaged I am, longing for a touch as soft as yours
For centuries, I searched
Only to find you when I was at my darkest
A step away from ending the battle
Your soul reached out to me
A fire in your eyes that saved me from Hell
Longing again for your gentle touch
I raised Hell to be by your side
Till Death do us Part my darling
We are but One, tethered together for eternity. -
In realms of tumult, scorched by life’s cruel plight,
A vessel empty, lost in the darkest night.
Reared in shadows, where innocence was slain,
A soul in struggle, binded by the chains.
The echoes from yesteryears loom large,
An advantage misused, a malicious discharge.
The clamorous chaos of an unforgiving past,
Haunts the corridors of a heart, so downcast.
Risen from the ashes of a tormented youth,
Striving for truths, grown from falsehood’s root.
A journey inward, to heal the deepest scars,
Against the dark, a man learns to count stars.
Against the tide of bitterness that looms,
From this shattered heart, a new resolve blooms
Bearing the weight of pain, from years in decay,
He yearns for the dawn, breaks from the gray.
The strength within, a beacon in the night
Naming his fears, readying for the fight.
Unlocking shackles that held him in disdain,
She is freeing his essence from its rusted chain.
He, a wounded healer, walked the winding path,
Against the winds of dread, bracing life’s wrath.
Now, a man, where once stood a scared child,
Born again from fire—tamed, yet wild.
In search of himself, lost in life’s grueling maze,
Gazing at reflections of his battered days.
A man in the mirror, his past, he must brave,
To find his true self and the future, he will pave.
Beneath the weight of the past, he shan’t crumble,
Resilient heart beats, in rhythm humbles.
In the ruins of his past, he finds his might,
Lighting the darkness, with his inner light.
An emblem of courage, of an arduous fight won,
Plucked from abyss, under the same azure sun.
Wounded yet healed, muted yet voiced,
An emblem of resilience, a tale of a life rejoiced.
Thus, he journeys through shadows into the day,
From his past, he emerges—branded, yet unswayed.
A testament to survival, of courage not surrendered,
In a world that once broke him, today he’s remembered.
Against all odds, he has found his way,
A beacon of resilience amidst the gloom, Life’s Stray.
Unyielding in his spirit, in the face of tempest’s blow,
A man once lost, now found, in his Light’s soft glow. -
Fighting for your life, it’s hard, to say the least
Giving up can be seen as the easiest way
But don’t give up hope that one day
Someone will come into your life
Just when you need them the most
For those are your guardian angels
Sent to you from above
To protect you when your mind ain’t right
And to guide you when you are hungry for knowledge
To provide you water when you are thirsty
To give you strength when yours dwindles
Don’t ever give up hope
For I am here and you are not alone -
Once upon a time, there was a man named Jack who lived a relatively average life. He worked as a software engineer and spent his free time playing video games and watching Netflix. He had been dating a woman named Sarah for about a year, and things were going great. They had met through a dating app, and she seemed like the perfect match for him. They had similar interests and senses of humor, and they enjoyed being together.
One day, Jack was sitting in his apartment playing video games when he heard a knock at his door. He paused the game and went to answer it. To his surprise, standing in front of him was a man who looked like he had just stepped out of a history book. The man was tall, muscular, and had a long beard. He was wearing a white toga and had a lightning bolt in his hand.
“Who are you?” Jack asked in confusion.
“I am Zeus, King of the gods,” the man said, his voice like thunder. “And I demand that you give me back my wife, Hera.”
“I’m sorry, I’m dating who?” Jack said in shock, not quite understanding what was happening.
“Hera, my wife. The Greek goddess of marriage and childbirth,” Zeus said, his eyes flashing with anger.
Jack’s heart skipped a beat. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He had been dating a Greek goddess this whole time? It was too surreal to be true.
Zeus explained to Jack that Hera had fled from Olympus and was hiding out on Earth. He had been searching for her and had finally tracked her down to Jack’s apartment. Zeus warned Jack that if he did not return Hera to him, he would suffer the consequences.
Jack was torn. He had grown to love Hera and couldn’t bear the thought of losing her. But at the same time, he didn’t want to anger a vengeful god like Zeus.
As he contemplated his next move, he heard a voice behind him. It was Hera.
“Jack, don’t worry. I’ll handle this,” Hera said, stepping forward. She looked stunning in her white robes and golden sandals, her hair cascading down her back in soft waves.
Zeus turned his gaze to Hera, and his expression softened.
“Hera, my love. Why did you leave Olympus?” Zeus asked, moving closer to her.
“I couldn’t take it anymore. The fighting, the drama. I just needed to get away,” Hera said, her voice softening.
Zeus took Hera’s hand and looked deeply into her eyes.
“Come back to Olympus with me, my love. We can work things out,” Zeus said, his voice full of longing.
Hera hesitated for a moment, then turned to Jack.
“I’m sorry, Jack. I have to go back. I can’t stay here any longer,” Hera said, a hint of sadness in her voice.
Jack understood. He knew that Hera belonged in Olympus and that he couldn’t compete with a god-like Zeus.
As they said their goodbyes, Hera leaned in and whispered to Jack.
“Don’t worry, my love. I’ll never forget you. You’ll always have a special place in my heart.”
And then she was gone, whisked away to Olympus by Zeus.
Jack stood in his apartment, feeling dazed and confused. He had just lost the love of his life to a god. But deep down, he knew that he had been a part of something truly special, something magical and otherworldly.
He smiled to himself as he realized that he had just dated a Greek goddess. It was a story he would tell his grandchildren one day, a memory he would cherish for the rest of his life. -
Once upon a time, there was a man named Jake. He had a dark past, but he was determined to change his life. Jake had been an addict for almost a decade. Throughout his addiction, he had lost everything he had ever loved- his job, friends, family, and even his dignity. But one day, he realized that if he didn’t quit drugs, he would die a miserable death.
Jake decided to seek redemption, but he knew that it was no easy task. He tried to quit drugs several times, but the withdrawal symptoms always got the best of him. One day, Jake stumbled upon a support group for addicts, and they introduced him to faith. There, he was told that God could help him overcome his addiction. Jake asked God for help, and finally, he found the strength to quit drugs.
Jake had been clean for over a year when a call from his friend, Mike, broke the news of the death of his wife, Sarah, in a car accident. Mike was devastated, and Jake knew that he had to be there for his friend. Jake tried to comfort Mike, but nothing seemed to work. Mike refused to leave his house, and he often broke down in tears.
Jake knew that Mike needed to grieve, but he was worried that Mike would fall into the same trap as his wife and start using drugs to numb the pain. Jake decided to take Mike under his wing and help him through his grief. Jake had come to God and found his inner peace, and he knew that he had to help his friend do the same.
Jake took Mike out for walks, and they took up some gardening together. They worked on a vegetable garden in Sarah’s memory, and they often had long conversations about life, death, and their faith. Jake had been through it all; he knew the path Mike was on, and he also knew how to get through it. Jake shared his own testimony and told Mike about how God had helped him through his darkest times.
Mike had always been skeptical of God, but he saw how Jake’s belief in a higher power helped him live his life with purpose and meaning. Slowly but surely, Mike started to believe that there was more to life than what he had experienced.
Jake didn’t push Mike to come to God; he just wanted to be there for him in his time of need. Jake knew that if Mike developed a deep connection with a higher power, his grief would be much more tolerable.
Over time, Mike started to go to church and read the Bible. He found comfort in the words and the community. Mike was no longer isolated, and he started to see the world in a different light. Mike started to see his life as a gift, and he realized how grateful he was for what he had.
Jake had never been happier. He had come to God and had helped his friend endure the pain of losing the love of his life. Jake had discovered a calling within himself, and he knew that he had to help others who were battling addiction.
Years went by, and Mike’s wound had healed, but he could never forget the love of his life who left him too soon. Mike had come to God and had found solace in his faith. He knew that he would see Sarah again someday, and he was happy to live the rest of his life on this earth knowing that he had a friend who had helped him through his darkest hour.
Jake continued to help those around him who needed guidance in their lives. He had found a new purpose in life, and it gave him immense pleasure to help others overcome their pain. Life was not always easy, but Jake knew that he had the strength to make it through anything that life threw his way.
Jake’s journey from addiction to faith was a difficult one, but it was worth it. He had overcome his addiction, and he had helped his friend through his grieving process. Jake discovered that helping others brought him happiness, and he had found a new purpose in life. Jake’s story is a testament to the power of faith and redemption. He knew that he could never go back to his old ways, and he was forever grateful that he had found a higher power to guide him through his life. -
Hey there ladies and gents, this is my attempt at writing a song. It’s about sunsets in California and how beautiful they are. It is written in the country genre but if anyone wants to turn it into an actual song, just email me and we can work together.
Shot by me, the author of this blog several years ago along the California coast. (Verse 1)
Riding down the coastal highway
Windows down, radio playing
Breathtaking view, that ocean blue
Never felt so free, so alive and new
(Chorus)
Sunsets in California
Golden skies and palm trees
Waves crashing on the shore
I never felt so at ease
(Verse 2)
Watching surfers catch the waves
Sand in our toes, hearts unafraid
Every moment feels like a dream
Life’s simple pleasures, it seems
(Chorus)
Sunsets in California
Golden skies and palm trees
Waves crashing on the shore
I never felt so at ease
(Bridge)
Maybe it’s the salty air
Maybe it’s the sunsets rare
Maybe it’s the company I keep
But something’s got me feeling so complete
(Chorus)
Sunsets in California
Golden skies and palm trees
Waves crashing on the shore
I never felt so at ease
(Outro)
As the sun goes down
I thank the Lord above
For this moment in time
And this California love. -
In honor of Pride month, here is a little Short story I wrote about a young boy from the 1920’s who falls in love with his best friend.
Once upon a time, in 1920s Britain, there was a teenage boy named Alexander. Alexander had never felt like he belonged in his family. His parents never seemed to understand him or care about him, and they were always getting into arguments. Alexander didn’t know how much longer he could stand it.
One day, Alexander went to school and met another boy named Thomas. Thomas was new to the school and had just moved to Britain from the United States. Thomas had a different way of looking at things and a different way of doing things that Alexander found fascinating. They became fast friends, spending time together in the library and talking about books they had read.
As the weeks went by, Alexander found himself falling for Thomas. When Thomas spoke, Alexander would listen intently, captivated by his words. When they were together, Alexander felt at home in a way he had never felt before. But Alexander knew that if his parents found out he was gay, they would send him away to a boarding school where he would never see Thomas again.
Alexander tried to ignore his feelings, to push them down deep inside where they couldn’t hurt him. But he found it increasingly difficult to do so. Every time he was with Thomas, he felt electrified, like his whole world was changing around him. Alexander didn’t know what to do.
One day, after a particularly stressful day at home, Alexander went to Thomas’s house. He told Thomas everything that was going on and how he felt. Alexander expected Thomas to be shocked or horrified or disgusted, but instead, Thomas just held his hand and told him he loved him.
Alexander was taken aback. He had never heard anyone say that to him before. But he felt something deep inside, something that he knew he couldn’t ignore. That night, Alexander and Thomas shared their first kiss. It was everything Alexander had ever hoped for.
But the next day at school, Alexander noticed that Thomas was acting distant. He didn’t look at Alexander in the same way, and he didn’t talk to him as much. Alexander was confused and hurt. He thought Thomas felt the same way he did.
That afternoon, Alexander went to Thomas’s house to talk to him. He found Thomas sitting in his room, staring out the window. When Alexander sat down next to him, Thomas turned to him and said, “I can’t do this. I can’t be with you.”
Alexander was shattered. He didn’t understand what was happening. Thomas explained that his father had found out he was gay and had threatened to send him away to the United States. Thomas didn’t want to leave Alexander, but he didn’t have a choice.
For the next few days, Alexander was miserable. He missed Thomas terribly and couldn’t stop thinking about him. He knew his parents would be suspicious if he was too sad, so he had to pretend like everything was fine. But inside, Alexander was falling apart.
One day, Alexander’s mother found a note he had written to Thomas. She was furious and told Alexander that he was not allowed to see Thomas ever again. Alexander was devastated. He didn’t know how he was going to go on without Thomas in his life.
But a few days later, Alexander received a letter from Thomas. In it, Thomas explained that he had convinced his father to let him stay in Britain. Thomas also said that he loved Alexander and that nothing would ever keep them apart. Alexander was overjoyed.
Years went by, and Alexander and Thomas went to university together. They studied literature and history and philosophy. They talked about everything, from politics to science to religion. They were each other’s best friends and confidantes.
One day, Alexander and Thomas got married in a small ceremony in a church near their university. They knew that it was dangerous to be gay in 1920s Britain, but they also knew that they loved each other, and that was all that mattered.
As they exchanged vows, Alexander felt more joy than he had ever felt before. He knew that Thomas was the love of his life, and he couldn’t imagine living without him. Together, they had weathered hardship and darkness and come out the other side stronger than ever before.
Alexander and Thomas lived a long and happy life together, always holding hands and always smiling. They knew that they were lucky to have found each other, and that they would love each other forever.
